emka TECHNOLOGIES provides the SomnoSuite® and the SomnoFlo®, low-flow anesthesia systems from Kent Scientific. Especially designed for mice, rats and small animals, it eliminates the need for cumbersome clinical vaporizerss.
Two models are available to fit your protocol requirements.
SomnoFlo is a compact, standalone vaporizer with a built-in, automated anesthetic delivery system. Just connect your anesthetic bottle directly to SomnoFlo and the system is ready for your procedure.
SomnoSuite is a low-flow anesthesia system with optional add-on modules for vital sign monitorings, such as ventilation, pulse oximetry or warming.
SomnoFlo™ is a low-flow electronic vaporizer with an automated delivery system. Anesthetic is drawn directly from the 100mL bottle within the unit with easy access, while 250mL bottles are placed in a convenient holder outside the vaporizer. It delivers only the anesthetic required by the animal according to its weight with flows down to 0.05 LPM.
Designed with a precision syringe pump and integrated digital vaporizer, SomnoSuite® also delivers anesthesia at low flow rates proportionate to the animal’s size.
SomnoFlo and SomnoSuite both operates using an internal air pump with ambient air or with compressed gas.
Kent Scientific anesthesia systems do not need Servicing or Calibration, allowing for reproducible and uninterrupted studies. They operate using an internal air pump with ambient air or with compressed gas, which saves time, increases accuracy and decreases WAG. Equipped with an intuitive touch screen control, they are easy to use.
SomnoFlo and SomnoSuite deliver only the anesthetic required by the animal according to its weigh. Using less anesthesia not only benefits the animal during procedures, but significantly reduces the risk of exposure to lab personnel from waste anesthesia gas.
