Benefits

With its simple design, the easyTEL+ is reliable, highly customizable and cost effective

Reliable

easyTEL+ provides high-quality digital telemetry with zero cross-talk, allowing up to 32 animals to be group-housed while maintaining signal integrity.

Group-housing advantages include reduced stress and subject socialization, supporting the 3R’s* initiatives.

Quality of Signal (QoS) and Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) monitoring help ensure reliable acquisition and support more accurate analysis.

They are independent signals which may be recorded during an implanted telemetry acquisition. QoS and RSSI monitor changes in the radiofrequency environment between the implant and acquisition computer to qualitatively and quantitatively track signal quality. These signals have benefits both in acquisition and analysis. In acquisition, if signal quality is poor, it enables a user to take corrective action to improve the signal. During analysis QoS and RSSI can be automatically applied to prevent segments of signal drop from contributing inaccuracies to analysis results.

Customizable

easyTEL+ implanted telemetry is a highly configurable solution designed for easy implementation and streamlined study management. It delivers continuous, reliable physiological data collection for up to 150 days.

Depending on the implant model, a wide range of parameters can be monitored, including biopotentials, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature, and postural activity.

Key features:
  • Operate with default settings or wirelessly customize parameters such as sampling rate, resolution, power, transmission frequency, etc. before and after implantation.
  • Enable optional synchronized video recording for enhanced behavioral and physiological data correlation.

Simple design & cost effective

easyTEL+ system design is compact, with a direct receiver-computer link and easy to use, with no external antenna, for an easier implantation.

No external ambient pressure monitor is required, as an atmospheric pressure sensor is included in each receiver, for on-line correction of blood pressure data.

Auxilliary receivers can be installed in a dosing room, allowing to record during dosing in a second zone the same data file.

Implants are priced for a single use, eliminating the need for refurbishment and associated logistics (implants can be re-implanted as long as battery lasts).

They can be used in combination, or alternatively with the head-mounted option for rats, using the same hardware infrastructure.
