Implanted Rodent Telemetry

and Its Critical Role in Investigative Toxicology Studies

Telemetry is a powerful tool in preclinical studies, as it provides continuous data from conscious animals of various species. Digital Telemetry minimizes human influence on data and enhances study design flexibility. It is already widely used in safety, toxicology, and efficacy studies, in large animals like dogs, pigs, and monkeys, as well as smaller animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and rats.

During our 2025 Society of Toxicology seminar, William Salvail (IPS Therapeutique Inc) specifically focused on the use of mouse telemetry as an essential tool in investigative toxicology. Then, Dr. Monica Metea (Preclinical Electrophysiology Consulting, LLC) presented advanced methods for
streamlining telemetry electrophysiology analytics.
