easyTEL+ RP is a reusable telemeter that can acquire up to 4 biopotentials and activity from conscious, freely moving subjects 200g and upwards.
This cost-effective option can be customizable for either a non-invasive or implantable design.
In rodents (formerly rodentPACK), easyTEL+ RP is particularly recommended for neurological applications, safety pharmacology and toxicology studies and drug development. In an interview, Dr. Poulsen from the Neurosurgery Department, in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, said “The combination of EEG, acceleration, and video is a huge upside to the emka system.”
In large animals (formerly eegPACK), easyTEL+ RP is particularly recommended for prodromal screening and for acute and chronic assessments to evaluate seizure potential, when the period of risk following the administration of a compound is unknown.

The whole system is compact, as a single receiver can communicate with up to 4 transmitters. Receivers are powered and transmit data through a single Ethernet cable. easyTEL+ RP removable telemeters are attached to a head connector or housed in a jacket (rodent) or a cap (large animals) during recording sessions.
This system can be used in combination with easyTEL+ M1 implants for rats or easyTEL+ for large animals, to monitor blood pressure (arterial and LVP) as well as temperature.
Adding an easySYNC device to the basic system allows to track and analyze the behavior, movement, and activity of an animal in Noldus EthoVision software while synchronizing physiological data from easyTEL+ RP telemetry system. Learn more about the easySYNC.

Combining easyTEL+RP with whole body plethysmography offers researchers a comprehensive understanding of the intricate mechanisms linking respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological functions. The vivoFlow+ plethysmograph respiratory parameters can be acquired simultaneously with cardiovascular and neurological data from the easyTEL+ RP via the easyDAC box. All signals acquired by easyDAC are fully synchronized and simultaneously recorded in IOX2 software.
