Our customizable rodentPACK is a cost effective solution providing low noise signals.

Non-invasive and clean ECG

In order to avoid complications or adverse side effects encountered with the use of anesthesia, implantation, or at-risk/fragile models, recording are performed on unanaesthetised rats.

Vigil subjects can be single or group-housed, favoring experiments that comply with the 3R’s and IACUC* protocols.

Short connections between transmitter and electrodes, use of battery, and wireless transmission allows to isolated animals from any source of electrical noise and provide a very clean ECG signal.

ECG from rodentPACK jacket

This wireless digital telemetry system for rodents 50g or more, acquires up to 2-lead ECG and postural activity data.

rodentPACK features include:

  • Synchronized video
  • MRI options (MR Conditional**)
  • Remote transmitter state (on/standby) control, without subject interaction
  • Customize sampling rate, resolution, power, transmission frequency, etc. at any time without subject interaction.

** Has been demonstrated to pose no known hazards in a specified MRI environment with specified conditions of use (static magnetic field strength, switched gradient magnetic field, time-varying magnetic field, radiofrequency fields, and specific absorption rate). Additional conditions, including specific configurations of the rodentPACK, may be required.

Modular and cost-effective

Transmitters are reusable indefinitely by simply changing the battery. Batteries permit up to 6+ days of continuous acquisition and can be replaced at minimal cost.

The transmitters can be reused for neurological applications, with a head-mounted implantation, or in combination, or alternatively with easyTEL+ implants, using the same hardware configuration.
